Enhanced Windows 365 Flex Shared Cloud PC naming template (Public Preview)
Admins can now configure more flexible naming templates for Windows 365 Flex (shared mode) Cloud PCs. This update aligns Windows 365 Flex Shared with Enterprise and Windows 365 Flex Dedicated experiences, allowing device names between 5 and 15 characters, with a prefix of up to 10 characters and a random alphanumeric string of at least 5 characters. Hyphen placement is now fully flexible within the prefix, providing greater control over naming conventions. These enhancements help organizations apply business unit–based naming standards and maintain compatibility with downstream systems and tooling, simplifying transitions from physical PCs to Cloud PCs.
Context-based redirections (Public Preview)
Context-based redirections are now available in public preview for Windows 365. This server-side capability enables admins to dynamically control clipboard, printer, drives, and low-level USB redirection behavior based on user identity, device compliance, and network conditions. By enforcing policies dynamically for bring-your-own-device (BYOD) scenarios, organizations can better protect sensitive data without relying on client-side controls. GPU support for Windows 365 Flex shared Cloud PCs
Windows 365 Flex now supports GPU-enabled Cloud PCs in shared mode. This allows admins to assign GPU SKUs to shared Cloud PCs, enabling users to run graphics-intensive or performance-heavy workloads. GPU Select SKU for Cloud PCs
Windows 365 introduces the GPU Select SKU, delivering higher-performance graphics capabilities at a lower cost for UI, multimedia, and productivity scenarios. 32 vCPU Cloud PC size now available
Windows 365 introduces a new 32 vCPU Cloud PC size, enabling greater compute power for complex and resource-intensive workloads. Ideal for development, simulations, and data-heavy scenarios, it helps improve performance and execution speed while reducing dependence on local hardware. New Windows 11 dev-ready image for Cloud PCs
Windows 365 introduces a new Windows 11 developer optimized image (preview) that includes preinstalled tools and configurations for development scenarios. This helps reduce onboarding time and simplifies environment setup for developers while maintaining a consistent experience across Cloud PCs.
