Microsoft announcement

Expanded regional availability for Windows 365 Flex (shared)

Windows 365 Flex (Shared mode) is now available in the following additional regions:

  • France (EU) – France Central
  • Norway – Norway East
  • Spain (EU) – Spain Central

Windows 365 Flex in Shared mode is now available in these regions, enabling organizations to provision Cloud PCs closer to users. This expansion supports lower latency and local data residency requirements for shift‑based and shared access scenarios. For more information, see Supported regions for Cloud PC provisioning.

Recovery for Windows 365 Enterprise Cloud PCs that were Deprovisioned due to License Expiration is now available

This feature has now moved out of preview and is now generally available. The grace period alert has now expanded so that admins can configure an alert for Cloud PC deprovisioning. For more information, see Point-in-time restore for Windows 365 Enterprise and Alerts in Windows 365.

Faster Cloud PC Compliance Evaluation During Provisioning

Cloud PCs now evaluate Intune compliance policies during provisioning without requiring user sign‑in, enabling devices to become compliant on first boot. This improvement delivers faster and more reliable compliance reporting, helping administrators ensure Conditional Access and compliance policies take effect immediately.

This enhancement is included in the latest Windows update (KB5070311) for Windows 11 25H2 and 24H2 and is already available in updated gallery images. No administrative action is required—new Cloud PCs created from gallery images will automatically benefit from the improved compliance evaluation flow.
