Windows first sign-in restore experience now available

Windows Backup for Organizations on Cloud PCs brings restore parity between physical Windows devices and Windows 365. When users sign in to a Cloud PC for the first time, they can restore their Windows personalization settings and Microsoft Store app list from an existing organizational backup—getting back to a familiar, productive environment in minutes. A key scenario is Windows 365 Reserve, where users temporarily transition from a physical device to a Cloud PC. With backup restore at first sign-in, Reserve users retain their personalized experience during the transition and seamlessly return to work without IT intervention, reducing disruption and support overhead.
