Device Management

Recover Windows 365 Enterprise Cloud PCs that were Deprovisioned due to License Expiration (preview)

You can now recover Windows 365 Enterprise Cloud PCs that were deprovisioned due to license expiration. Once you repurchase the expired licenses and ensure you have followed the prerequisites, you can use the retention snapshot to restore the Cloud PC for your end user. For more information, see Point-in-time restore for Windows 365 Enterprise.

RDP Multipath is now generally available

Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) Multipath is now generally available for Azure Virtual Desktop and Windows 365. This feature improves connection reliability and performance by intelligently managing multiple network paths between the client and the session host or Cloud PC. Multipath dynamically selects the best available path and provides seamless failover, delivering a smooth user experience even in environments with variable network conditions. We’re rolling out this feature in phases, so an increasing percentage of connections will benefit from RDP Multipath as deployment continues. For more information, see RDP Multipath.

Device Security

Select redirections disabled for newly provisioned and reprovisioned Cloud PCs

Windows 365 is enhancing Cloud PC security by having clipboard, drive, opaque low-level USB, and printer redirections disabled by default for all newly provisioned and reprovisioned Cloud PCs. This change minimizes the risk of data exfiltration and malware injections, which provides a more secure experience and aligns with the Microsoft Secure Future Initiative (SFI) principle to have security protections enabled and enforced by default.

For more information, see Manage RDP device redirections for Cloud PCs.
