Microsoft 365 admin center: Windows 365 cloud PC advanced deployment guide

The Advanced deployment guides page in the Microsoft 365 admin center has a new guide to help admins plan for, deploy, and scale Windows 365 Enterprise in their organization. This guide has a checklist of Cloud PC configuration tasks and includes best practices, tools, and recommendations based on the tenant's configuration.

Windows 365 Enterprise can now be purchased by government customers

Windows 365 Enterprise can now be purchased by customers with an existing Government Community Cloud (GCC) tenant. Such customers can use their Azure Commercial subscription if they want to use custom images and Azure network connections. (Previously, customers with a GCC tenant could only buy Windows 365 Government. An Azure Government subscription was required for custom images and Azure network connections.) Windows 365 Enterprise is a commercial product with commercial licensing terms and conditions.

Windows 365 Enterprise is FedRAMP compliant. Except for FedRAMP, Windows 365 Enterprise doesn't offer the same compliance as Windows 365 Government. CJIS and IRS 1075 aren't supported in Windows 365 Enterprise.

Windows 365 Government setup tool

A new Windows 365 Government setup tool is now available. It replaces the PowerShell scripts that were used to set up tenant mapping and permissions. For more information, see Set up tenants for Windows 365 Government.
