Teams displays impacted by retirement of legacy authentication infrastructure

[Introduction]

Microsoft Teams displays listed below have reached end of hardware support and will be retired from service. Beginning June 1, 2026, these devices will no longer be able to sign in, make calls, or receive calls. This action aligns with the Microsoft Teams Modern Lifecycle Policy, ensuring devices continue to meet reliability, security, and performance requirements.

Who is affected

• Organizations with users still operating the following Teams displays:
  • Lenovo ThinkSmart View Plus
  • Yealink DeskVision A24
  • Crestron UC-P10-TD
  • Crestron UC-P8-TD
  • Lenovo ThinkSmart View

What will happen

• Starting June 1, 2026:
  • Impacted Teams displays will not be able to sign in to Microsoft Teams.
  • Users on these devices will be unable to make or receive calls.
  • Teams display functionality on these hardware models will cease entirely.
  • No automatic failover or migration to alternative experiences will occur.
  • Supported Teams devices are not impacted by this retirement.

[What you can do to prepare]

If your organization uses any of the impacted Teams displays, the following actions are recommended:

• Review your Teams displays inventory to identify all affected models.
• Transition users off impacted devices before June 1, 2026.
• Replace deprecated displays with supported Teams devices such as:
  • Teams Phones
  • Teams Rooms
  • Other Microsoft Teams–certified endpoints
• Use the Microsoft Teams Devices catalog to evaluate replacement options.
• Communicate the upcoming retirement to helpdesk, support teams, and affected users.
• Update any internal documentation referencing Teams displays.

If no impacted devices exist in your environment, no action is required.
