Microsoft announcement

[Introduction]

Microsoft will end support for the Microsoft Entra single sign-on (SSO) plug-ins for Atlassian Jira Server and Data Center and Atlassian Server and Data Center beginning May 1, 2026, with support fully ending on July 31, 2026. This change aligns with Atlassian’s multi-year transition away from certain Data Center products and allows Microsoft to focus on modern, cloud-based integration patterns that provide improved security and long-term reliability.

After the retirement date, the plug-ins will continue to function; however, Microsoft will no longer provide updates, bug fixes, security fixes, or technical support.
