Use TWAIN scanners in remote sessions (Public Preview)

TWAIN scanner redirection is now available in public preview for Windows 365. It enables supported scanners connected to a local Windows device to be redirected to a Cloud PC using high-level redirection, providing an optimized scanning experience compared to USB redirection. iOS preview support for in-session passwordless authentication

In-session passwordless authentication is in preview for the Windows App on iOS. This allows users to complete in-session WebAuthn challenges using passkeys that are stored on the iOS device or that are connected to the iOS device (such as a physical security key or through QR code).

User provisioning for Windows 365 Reserve (Generally Available)

User provisioning for Windows 365 Reserve is now generally available. When enabled by IT, eligible users can initiate Cloud PC provisioning directly from Windows App, helping them quickly access a Reserve Cloud PC without waiting for an administrator to provision it. Administrators control availability through Windows App settings for Windows 365 in Microsoft Intune and can scope the capability to specific Microsoft Entra ID user groups. RDP Shortpath for public networks and RDP Multipath with UDP support in Windows App for macOS Beta

RDP Shortpath for public networks and RDP Multipath with UDP are now available in Windows App for macOS Beta, version 11.3.8 (3048), for Azure Virtual Desktop and Windows 365. This update enables UDP-based connectivity over RDP Shortpath and extends RDP Multipath resiliency to macOS, helping provide a more reliable and consistent connection experience across changing network conditions.

RDP Multipath availability in Azure Government

RDP Multipath with redundant UDP transport paths is generally available for Windows 365 in Azure Government. The phased GA rollout of redundant TCP transport paths has also started, further improving connection resiliency by providing additional transport paths when network conditions change.

RDP Shortpath with TURN availability in Azure Government

The phased GA rollout of RDP Shortpath via TURN has started for Windows 365 in Azure Government. TURN provides relayed UDP connectivity when a direct connection can't be established. Azure Government uses the new dedicated 20.140.236.0/22 IP range for STUN and TURN connectivity.
